Since 1985, the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program of Herkimer County has served to recruit and place senior volunteers in assignments designed to address the critical needs in the community. Sponsored by the Corporation for National and Community Service, Catholic Charities of Herkimer County, State Office for the Aging, and the United Way of the Valley & Greater Utica Area, volunteers serve at community organizations throughout Herkimer County. RSVP volunteers are part of the Senior Service Corps, with over 400,000 members enrolled in over 700 chapters throughout the United States, Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, and Guam.
